I've kept it in a sealed steel drum for 2 years, no problem. Race gas has stabilizers that reg gas doesn't, which is a good thing.

FWIW, I stored my black 74 challenger with Turbo Blue 110 leaded race gas in it, from 1986 to 2003. Nothing but race gas in it the whole time, I started the engine maybe 3 times a year during that time and it ALWAYS started.

I still have the same tank in the car and am still using the same 600 Eddie carb today. And I have never rebuilt the carb, I've re jetted it a bunch of times but that's it.

Race gas is the best for storage which means it'll last a long time.
