torque converter runout

Read an article decades ago about free HP. It was a Mopar ss/da and it was about making sure converter runout was at minimum. Never really thought about this but is it really cruical on a Mopar and if so do you space the flexplate or converter out. Thanks for your replies. Rick

Run-out is hub eccentricity, I'd like to see .002".
If it's sloppy, it has to go back.

Was the article refering to crankshaft to case centerline runout, perhaps?
