The very first one you posted is not a Pro Stocker. Paul Rossi ran it in SuperStock. The current owner is a Moparts member that lives and races in Europe.

I owned this one '84-'87. Current owner has it up for sale if some one is looking for an old PSer.

A good run was in the mid to high 9.80 range in 1970. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

I love old p/s pictures but they always leave me depressed...where in the hell have the years gone.
I still love pro/stock but it's not even close to what it was.

Ronnie Sox broke his own record in 1971 at the Gatornationals. He was the first Pro Stocker to dip in the 9.50's and I think he ran a 9.58 at that race. The fastest et's in 1970 at Natioal events was in the 9.70's. At the 1971 Gatornatioals where Sox ran 9.58 and the Motown Missle ran 9.60 Arlene Vanke ran a 9.79 and lost as I remember he said............how can I run 9.70's in Pro Stock and lose ?? But they started to pick up et and Gainsville was one of the fastest tracks in the country in 1971. I know they were in the 9.40's in 1972 but I cant remember how fast the record was then. But for 1970 the Pro Stockers ran from 9.70's to mid 10's as most tracks saw most Pro Stockers running low 10's and the fast ones in the high 9's for Pro Stocks first season. Ron

Sorry but that is the only photo of the car that I have come across, but I do remember seeing it in some older Super-Stock magazines.

Ronnie's brother David's car. I believe it was destroyed in a rollover in 1973.

This is by far the best thread on here. As long as we're talking cars changing hands & all, just how many customer cars DID S&M have anyway? I know Yowell, Lyles, & I think Castaldo were their "clients" but does anyone know just how many there actually were?

Would you happen to have anymore before & after photo's of your old race car and what exactly happened to it, or what track it met it's demise at. I'm just curious but maybe someone else can fill in some of the other blanks or details on what happened to this S&M car, anyone.
