do you think it will run a 6.7 in the 1/8? here's the deal. a friend/customer wanted me to do a street pump gas motor for his 4000lb. 73rr that he could cruise anywhere, be very low maint., and take it to the track on sat. so we chose a 505 with stealth heads, not cut-87cc. a 242/246 hyd. flat tappet cam. i put a victor intake and an 850dp on it. AFTER the plan was made he decides to put it in a back half scamp with too much gear 4.89's. also it will be a true footbrake car with a GLIDE. i figure it won't want to turn more that 5500? think it will run close to 6.70?

Close, I run a pump gas 505 about the same 4.56 gear, stick shifted , runs 6.50 in the 1/8th but I shift at 6800

Whats the scamp weigh? Converter stall? 6.70's might be pushing it. The camshaft is leaving alot on the table.

my duster weighs 3410
it has a 400rwhp 368" smallblock in it
with a 175 shot no2 pill..
it runs 6.67 in the eight.with too much converter..(ptc 5200 for motor only)
727 and 4.56 gear shifting at 6400rpm
fwiw...
if your close to 575 hp..id say yes....

well he took the car to the track sat. and it went a 6.57, then a 6.55, then it went a 6.54. he even went a couple of rounds. he was pretty happy, i guess. { he didn't call and complain}
