Mom won her battle to go and join Dad this morning at 7am. She's been in and out of the hospital/nursing home ever since Dad passed in July. In reality, Ma died of a broken heart. She and Pops had been married 55 years and she just couldn't go on without him. Now they can be together forever.

Very sorry to hear that Dennis, my mom was very lost for a while after my dad passed a number of years ago but said she had her grandchildren to look forward to,,,then 2 days after christmas of 09' we lost her to the lord and she moved on to be with dad again, it has been a rough 4 months since she left us, so I truely do feel your pain,.

My sincere condolences. my folks use to joke they'd like to go together ina helicoptor accident. They did'nt, my mom lived about 3 years longer. I'm glad your mom is at peace its hardest on those left behind..

Im very sorry to hear this.

My grandpa died last year, and my grandma died 2 months later.

Things are meant to be i guess, they couldnt be apart.

Very sorry to hear about your mom. I know its tough, I lost mine in November. Saw it comming, but still somedays it's like I don't believe she's actually gone.

Thanks everyone, the thoughts are greatly appreciated. You try to make yourself ready as best you can, but it is still a shock.

It's just weird, 16 months ago I had 2 parents who seemed to be in pretty good health for their ages. Now they are both gone, but will be together in God's care.

The visitation and funeral will be in my home town of Onarga. (30 miles south of Kankakee) Visitation will be from 4-8 Thursday night, funeral is 11am Friday morning. If anyone wants directions PM me and I'll send them to you.

I am sad to hear that you lost your MOM! You mention how you had 2 parents that seemed fine not that long ago. You need to remember them and move on to the things that you want to do in life. How long will you and I be here? Hope to see you on Sunday doing what you like to do!

Dennis, lost both my parents in 97 ( 12 days apart ) of unrelated illness's. BTW, they are burried in the cemetary in Onarga ( far east side )- my Dad's home town also. Mary and I would be there except we will be 1700 miles away at that time.

I cant imagine the heartache she felt when he passed away. To live your entire life with someone and have them pass almost seems unfair. You have my deepest symapthy for your loss but it sounds as though she has joined your dad again and that has to be a good thing for her.

That was my intention the first time I was married. Unfortunately, my ex didn't feel the same way.

I will be 52 when I get married this time. I'll be thankful if I make 25.

Wake and service went very well. Mom is now peacefully resting next to Dad in a small country cemetary next to some of our relatives that were buried there in the late 1700's.
