El Toro is a sedan, and not one of the original 10"/15" factory cars. Only 1 sedan was constructed as a "factory" car, and it was a Dodge, and was done after the mule and the other hardtops.

Not a big name racer, or a factory car. This was a 1964 MW lightweight and got an injected Hemi and the 1965 fiberglass kit and windows.

It's now in Garlit's museum in Florida. Different paint job, and a blown wedge engine.

Hey anyone want to explain the reason for the wheel base shift, it appears that some of these cars have longer front sections than others, did they set the engines back also?

Re: A/FX altered wheelbase Mopars - 03/01/10 10:42 PM
I think the reason for the altered wheelbase was to simulate engine setback .By moving the rearend forward it did the same thing. Also the extra over hang over the rear axle proly helped traction.Things tend to get heavier when they are out there further from the pivot point ...
