when you say drive what gear are you talking about? stall should be checked in 3rd gear rolling abot 5-10 mph.

ok people are going to need a lot more info about your car and combo probably to help you out. I myself like a loose converter.

The best way to check flash rpm is using the trans brake if you have one. Just warm it up pull the low side chip engauge the brake in low and stand on the throttle. It will show you were its at.

If the converter flashes in the 5200-5300 range..its very close to idea matched to that power table...Almost always you want the converter flash around or near peak torque..This is usually around 1000-1200 rpm below peak rpm.. And your right there...
Have you calculated slippage yet? If its good, dont bother sending the converter back..the only thing it will change is your bank account total.

BTW
I feel that converters long with cams isnt rocket science.People like to over complicate things too much. There is no black magic in converters or cams. If its setup and in the correct application, and in the ball park for what is idea, your not going to see huge gains like people think between "his" or "There" custom converter or camshaft..
Unless you think a few hundredths is a bunch

regarding slippage,, that last two runs on the car slowed, over 1/2 second and 7 mile per hour, (my trap rpm was up a little) i havent run the car since, so im basically trying to figure out why it slowed, the fluid was still bright red with no smells of burning, already checked the basics on the motor.
