I like the Hoosiers myself but I have run MT also
along with Phoenix... never ran GY
4-link is the best but it also takes a little more
to get it adjusted right
Springs... that will matter on the final weight
distribution and the length of the shocks... mine
uses 85# springs(85# per inch) but the car is 2400
with me

I like MT's I've used the 28x10.5's and the 28x11.5's both worked real good in the hot and the cold they don't take much of a burnout either... My tires sidewall wears out before I run out of hole

M/T slicks here.
i personally think hoosiers are a cheap walmart style slick.all 3 cars run M/T's now.
40-45 passes and they are done.sidewalls completely gone away.

Put the tallest and widest tire you can fit on the car, I'm sure the traction down there is marginal most of the time, epsecially on the streets, maybe not I would start out with a bias ply tire and sort the car out and then, maybe, try a radial slick of the same size. I have found that the radial tires will be faster and quicker here in the U.S. on good tracks, the bias ply tires work better(easier to drive the car off of the starting line ) on the marginal to bad tracks up here As far as rear suspensions I like use ladder bars, I have not yet owned a car with a four link set up in it, I have help a freind who had one on a 1963 Chevy 11 shoe box with a 586 HP SB 383 SB stroker motor with big (15x33x15) rear tires, we never did get it where it work excellent As far as the three ladder bar cars I have owned and driven, none of them work bad

I agree with StripeHog, Sticky Mickeys, small burn out, good hook, just don't last long. I'm not sure why sidewalls wear out first?

Could this be the problem?

I use Hoosier, have used Phonix, find them to wear out quick, but they work great on the street.
