What rockers are you planning on running? The link is up for where the oil drain luines go, from my experience make them as large as you can. They can hold a good deal of oil if the lines are to small. Mine drain into the pan itself.

Hope this helps, we put 8AN fittings on both ends and ran them into the pan.

Yes I have bungs welded into my pan. 4 of them to be exact. Did the saem thing on the Valiant and I use -8 lines.

I will keep an eye out for some rockers. I ran the T&D common shaft set up on the Valiant and they worked great and do not require any additional machining to the heads like the individuals do. They have thier limitation but not until you get inta crazy springs and cams.

Be sure if you use the T&D's that you check the tips for siezing.... Soaked mine in oil as directed & still had 2 that needed re worked & one got a new pin.

Tes I have drains in the front and rear of the engine, have always don tit that way. As for the T&D point made never been an issue for me but like ALL B1 combos pushrod length is very critical.

A drain in the back of the head for oil is the best bet.
Would not hurt to add a water 6or 8an fitting in between the center exhaust to help cool the heads.
The indy reverse flow block also helps.
T&D are the best rockers for the b1 stuff.
We like to oil thru spray bar.
Get a good set of lifters with a oiling hole for the roller.

Good point I forgot to mention the water port. helps with hot spots. I also use a Mezeiere revers flow water pump as well. On mine I have pushrod oiling. So far no issues with rockers or pushrods with my springs pressure whichis not weak at 1050 over the nose.

Are there no drain holes in the heads from the rocker box to the valley or are they just insufficient?

there are no drains in the heads, you need to add them at the ends as pictured

thanks guys for all the info.i suppose im going to have to keep an eye out for a set of rockers also. there is alittle more work than expected but will be well worth it when done.i just put heads on block. how do you machine block for pushrods? anyone have to have that done yet?also where do you run that coolant line in the heads to the rad ,waterpump?

I guess you found the rocker shaft blocks?

Hated to get rid of the heads but sometimes things don't go as planned.

My water lines are tapped into the block, the main water passages where the pump mounts. You will need to do a little/a lot of blending in where the pushrod holes are as well depending on rockers, pushrods used and cam profile. I run HUGE pushrods so there is a good deal of work done in that area as well.

Is that 1 carb or 2 on that intake. Either way that looks like a huge plenum.
