I run a 4.56 with a 33.6 x 15 x 15 goodyear supergas tire. Goes through the traps at about 7500 with a loose converter at 153 mph.

I dont see why that coil would'nt work...everybody uses the Pro Power coil or the HVC Pro Power one. i use the HVC, its supposed to be better for a street/strip car. The origianl Pro power is for racing only.

Saturday @ Test and Tune...we have a track that is about an hour away but is not a real good one.. the better ones for me are 2 hours away at Baytown,Tx or 2 in Baton Rouge, La..But , for a few shake down passes Evadale,Tx will do just fine.. not going to set the world on fire the first time out.. just want to check everything and makes sure the car is set-up properly..i'm thinking the motor is going to want a 1250 carb instead of the 1050 thats on it..if my cousin come to the first outing, he may bring his 1250 for me to try and see which carb works better...

Re: UPDATED PICS--- Indy Maxx Dart - 08/21/09 01:38 PM

Evadale not a good track? Moyer went 4.10 at 190.12mph last weekend. 8.5 inch tire guys went 5.29 1/8 mile. We have run on saturday at evadale and sunday at baytown with the exact same numbers. Yes evadale could be run better though. At times they are unorganized. Good luck with your car. Nice to see more mopars at the track.

Re: UPDATED PICS--- Indy Maxx Dart - 08/22/09 03:36 AM

1350 is a 1350 I thought
//what wont it do?
I went from a 1350 truck to a MW, i fit just fine.

Re: UPDATED PICS--- Indy Maxx Dart - 08/22/09 04:25 AM

The caps on their yoke is .080 larger than mine...they bought the upgraded Billet yokes from MW..and wouldnt you know it.. i have spent every dime trying to get this car running and run out of money on the last item..i had even ordered my racing suit monday and if i had know this ,i would have bought the driveshaft first..I guess i'll have to start selling alum cans...

Re: UPDATED PICS--- Indy Maxx Dart - 08/22/09 11:06 AM

Billy, If I understand it right, the diameter of the joint caps is .080 too big? Look for a joint with the proper cap diameter, and the same inner (cross) diameter, use the caps from the new joint on the existing cross and go racing! We have done that to make conversion joints before.

Yea Greg we had talked about that too and i just decide that even with all of that i still needed to slow down just abit,finish the car properly and take time to go over the car again & again to double check everything ..getting in such a rush has made me nervous about missing something,and at 150MPH is not the time to find out. that in last 4 week rush that i forgot something on the car..it will also allow me some break-in time on the motor..Running it in cycles,making sure the car is RIGHT....i can wait 1 more week...i just dont want to. ..Lol...
