stainless braided fuel line leaking

Hello, went to start the bee up today as it hasn't been fired since the last time racing last year. Well it popped right off but I noticed fuel pooling under the car. I checked into it and the stainless braided line is seeping from a few spots. No chafing or wear spots just leaking.
What could of broke down the inside of the hose? I run straight 110 fuel. What is the life expectancy of stainless fuel line? Thanks

Sounds strange to be seeping. Even stranger to start seeping from more than one spot.

Double check your fittings to make it is not leaking there and just running down the hose.

Hello 440mag, thats what I thought at first too. But It was coming from the highest point and there are no fittings up there. So when I pulled that section off and ran water through it to check it it was seeping from a few different spots. You could hear the air too. The only thing I can think of is the last few tanks of racing fuel I got was from Sapp BROS. And they use the same pump for kerosene. And I could smell a slight kerosene smell from the exhaust. But I really have no clue. Now I'm forced to buy that Rons terminator kit

I have seen that if you make a real tight radius/bend
it can crack the inside rubber... specially on older
hose

there are several different qualitys of stainless neopreme hoses, you got one of the cheap ones like I ended up with several years ago I now try and only use the teflon lined stainless hoses on fuel The teflon lined hoses are a lot stronger on burst strengths and take a lot more corosive chemical as well as a lot more heat before they will fail . IMO kerosene, gasoline and diesel fuels should not make a good quality fuel line, lined or unlined with a stainless steel jacket, leak

Tim,I'd bet those lines are over 10 years old. You need to replace the entire line and IMPO cotton braided is the way to go.If I were to replace all my lines with cotton,would lose 20 lbs

Thanks guys, yeah I was planning on replacing it all since it was all put in at the same time. But I've been throwing around the idea of a Rons Terminator system and now I think I'll just go that way next spring. Oh yeah these were only about 4 years old. Must have sat on the shelf a while.
