Hi - I usally hang around the general forum, but I thought maybe these pics would be more "on-topic" over here. I posted many of them on the Hamb, thought maybe you guys would dig 'em, too.

I am still in touch with Markusic's daughter. They put the Hemi in an AMX!!! WILD CAR. He was later tragically killed in an accident.

Am I the only one that thinks the straight-avled, injected Charger is the coolest one posted?

Hate to hear how things turned out for Markusic. I have more pics of his car in action I will post when I have more time (I have to re-size all of them)

Thanks, This was my era. I think the Mr. Ed dart might possibly be the yellow one Bob George hasnow. I will be out of town for a couple of weeks but will be speaking with Frank Madden when I return. He had one of Ed's cars but I am not sure if it was the 65 or 68. I am sure Mark or Dell know, they may chime in.Bob, didn't you get yours from Madden?? He lives close to me know but has alzheimers and can't remember much that far back.

Rich, I don't think the Mr. Ed car is the car that Bob has. I believe he is the second owner of that car, the Dart, and originally purchased it around 1969 from Jerry Daily. It was called Daily's Dodge, and Bob modified the paint to be Bob's Dodge. It was painted yellow somewhere around 73 or 74. It was then sold to Grant Benham from New York, and was just shown but not raced until Bob reaquired it a couple of years ago.

Bob's Dart is the old Frank Madden Dart. Bob & I discussed it before. That car used to race in this area by Madden.

The guy on the right is Clark Rader. His family built National Trail Raceway, and he was the "face" of the track from 1964 until the Raders sold it to NHRA in the mid-1990's. Clark was a great guy, passed away in '01 or '02 (the memory is a bit foggy)

Yeah, I was going so fast to try and get some pics up I kinda' blew by that. Carrol has a car dealership in Ztown, too. Carrol had '71 'Cuda 'vert Super Stock car that was rated one of the "Golden 50" NHRA race cars of all time. Sorry, no pics of that car.

Frank Madden owned both the Dailey & the Mr Ed Darts. He also had another Dart and a Barracuda or two - if you talk with him see if you can find out a little more about the Barracudas - Thanks. Dailey's Dart went to Bob George and the Mr Ed (Ed Knesivitch) Dart went to NY. The Mr Ed Dart is alive and well in MI today. Great pics!

The guy on the left w/ the hat is Clark Rader Sr. he is the patriarch of the family that built the track. Made his money in vaudeville theaters. The guy walking accross the footbridge in the background is his Son, Clark Jr.

Wacky looking engine shroud too, huh? Supposedly that was so the car could run multiple classes. Run the shroud, lights and fenders for some sort of modified class, take 'em off for Gas.
