Aluminum trans pan (727) - 07/14/09 05:20 PM

I'm looking for what that is not too much deeper than stock. The car is going to be low and I don't want anything below the headers.

Thanks,

Josh

If you don't need or want the depth ..I would just stick with a deep stamped-steel pan.

A later 518 pan is a deeper sump, has a location for a magnet in the corner, and has a black coating (powder?) that is ultra tough! Best of all I can get them used dirt cheap through my local transmission shop! The last one cost me $13.00.

You do have to buy a filter extension but those are pretty easy to find.

The MP unit can be had through Mancini works well, and comes with everything too...The best is the price.
I got the NON Chrome Version

Is that type of filter extension known to be trouble? I dont know, the last one I used was a Billet unit with O-rings?
Never heard of issue's with these, if there has been problems

If you lift your left leg, hold your tongue against your right cheek and hop up and down you may get it installed quickly the first time. They're just a multi piece PITA!

The billet is a much simpler and smarter design.

Did anyone ever tried the trick flow pan?

At 130$ (Summit) it looks like a bargain compared to the Mopar at 260$...

2 additionnal qt is good enough for me (street only).
