WDRA……how’s that going? - 08/06/23 04:38 PM

Kind of forgot about the stir that this new sanctioning body created. Of course it affects me 0% out here in the sparse west, but kind of wondering if it’s been a positive or negative?

Here in the Midwest I have not been hearing a lot, but a buddy races at 131 and seems happy.

Seems like a seamless transition..season inst over yet though. but so far so good. I think track operators may be the ones that benefit more than the racers will and that may tickle down to the racer

It is an Alliance of operators, not a traditional organization to compete with NHRA-IHRA, and is working very well. They've pooled resources on fixing the cpncerns that operators have. IHRA had gone stagnant, and NHRA does nothing to help the operators, in fact their focus on the 'big show' actually competes against them. It is something that is long overdue.

Mid Michigan, US 131, and Ubly are all WDRA. I've run both Mid Michigan and 131. No difference that I could even notice.
