The constant duty relay was in a prior post and it is used in this video and for me I need all the help I can get.I did upgrade the fuse to the starter so time to get to the rest up to the fuse box

I guess it depends on what you want to do with the car and use of the CD relay.

Personally, I would not wire a vehicle with a NHRA legal cut off switch approach in that manner.

I use a CD relay in my alternator feed, it is fed by key on ignition power that runs through 2 of the 4 poles on my main disconnect switch. So when you break the master switch it also breaks the wire that keeps the CD relay engaged. Its a lengthy run of wire but it works perfectly.

I do carry a spare CD relay and it is also easy to bypass by bolting both lugs to one pole in the event if fails.

That's the way my schematic is as well. This video uses the CD to feed the fuseblock, not sure why. The cutoff is more than capable to feed most fuseblocks without any relays inline. Run protection in the line going forward.

Someone PMed me and asked me to draw a diagram. This is a horrible diagram but it is a diagram. I run a GM CS130 alternator and I use the sense wire and the charge light, works awesome. You can ignore the sense wire and charge light if needed.

And to be clear my car only uses factory wiring for lights and wipers, everything else but the line lock and charging system are run by the EFI.

See attached crappy drawing. When you turn off the disconnect you also break the circuit that keeps the CD relay powered on. When the CD turns off the alternator feed is broken. My starter relay is in the trunk so when the disconnect is killed there is no power at all in the front.
