I just got off the phone with my good friend Stewart Pomeroy.
He suffered a small heart attack. He is in the hospital.
He told me he is ok, and that it was only a small one.
He said that it was a warning-wake up sign to quit smoking.
He did not want me to make a big deal about this.
So i am respecting his wishes. I told him i would make this post.
I told him i would ask people to keep him in there thoughts and prayers.
He said that would be fine.
He thinks they are going to let him out tomorrow.
Please keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers.

i know how that is 39 and 3 weeks after my my b-day had one stoped smoking and started again . will be stoping soon.get well. brad

Jimmy as far as i know he does not need anything right now.
I am sure he appreciates your offer!

I do not know. I did not ask too much. He was tired and i did not want to bother him.

stewart i know this is going to be a tough time for you.my mom quit smoking after 50 yrs so she can get her knees replaced next month.we are here for you and can call if you want to talk to some1.

Well i just got off the phone with Stewart.
Things are looking up. He is getting better.
He said he is waiting to get a normal room.
As soon as he gets a normal room he can use a computer.
They wont let him get on a computer, he has tried.
He told me to tell everyone that he is so greatful that all of his friends care so much about him!
He said that at a very hard time, he feels like we are all sitting there with him.
He wanted me to express how thankful he is for everyone who has been thinking about him!!!

I guess he doesn't have his cell phone with him in his room. I called his cell number and left him a message. I called Robert and left a message at his house. Maybe Robert will pass along my thoughts and prayers? I'll try him again tomorrow. Thanks for the info there Hemidarts.

I know he is trying to rest, and get well.
He is waiting for the chance to get on here and talk to everyone.
It is very hard for him to talk right now.
I would think by saturday he will be up and running!

I finally got through to Stewart. He said he had a respiratory failure which may have caused the small heart attack. He wanted to thank everyone for their concern and prayers. He sounded a little weak still, but in good spirits. He has many friends in the Tampa Bay area so I'm sure he has a good support group there. Hopefully he can give up the cigarettes and put that money toward something better.

THANK YOU ALL !!!!! You all helped me thru the death of Marlene last year, and now the unbelievable show of support is here again. I have come to understand that NOTHING, SUPERSCEDES TRUE FRIENDS - and I sincerely thank you all for that. Enclosed is my new self help support poster - I lost a week of my life, and will never regain that - but I am aimed in the right direction

Stewart, Peg and I both wish you a speedy recovery. Sorry it happened, and hope you will be up and about soon. It was great seeing you once again at the Melbourne show earlier this year, and hope you can make it to Valdosta for the Southern Nats. I'm planning on bringing the Coronet up and trying a run or two with it on friday's test and tune. Our prayers are with you friend, get well soon.
