Need to adjust the 2nd gear band on a 727, which socket is used to accomplish this? Is it a 5/16 8 point socket? or square or whatever it's called. i thought i had one after all these years now cant find what i had. any help is appreciated. Thanks Dave #1355 ss/ea fury

I use a 5/16 8 point. A 11/32 12 point will also work.

there are also square "1/8"npt pipe plug" sockets out there that are 1/4" drive and a 5/16" square female indention to be used on 1/8"npt pipe plugs with a 5/16" male square top.
i have a couple that are snap-on, and one that is a no name brand.
i have marked the one socket with a white line, so i can tell where the band adjuster is when bottomed, then count the number of turns needed for adjustment.

Snap On #PP410A There over $25 from Snap On and Ebay. $10 + shipping and its yours. I have no further use for it.

Pipe plug socket lots of options on Amazon.
