Is there a drag slick that works better on a hot track?

I’d say it depends on the car. My old demon liked a radial slick. It would hook at any temperature, best was At Norwalk. 123.9 60’ in July.

I've found the same size and brand bias ply slicks works way better than the same size radial on a bad track shruggy
I ended up carrying both sets with me to the races up

Bias ply.....No question.....

If you want to go fast on a good track run a radial. Anything sketchy where you want to be consistent I would never trust them.

Little to no burnout on a hot track, good burnout on a cold track. I would think a harder compound would be better if you are at a track that is hot all the time. This is a great question for the tire manufacturer's tech line.
