Does this MP DP 4150 flange intake actually exist?

Looks like the same casting as Action-Plus 8007 with the Mopar branding. Were these actually produced?

No that was not produced by MP as far as I know. Appears to be an altered picture.

The M1 DP LA had divided square bore flange, centered water neck, and the runners were reversed compared
to the one shown in the picture (that is to say the right side plenum fed into a long runner shared by #2 and #3 which
is the opposite of what is shown).

The M1 DP Magnum was very much the same except magnum fastener layout, and the water neck was offset.

Here is another pic of the MP M1 dual plane for a small block. Like Zippy said, it has a square bore flange.

Thank you Rich and an8sec70cuda (Chip?). The pictured intake in my post sure is an oddball and the P4876335 part number sure throws a curveball on what is what. The P4876335AB manifold is entirely different and aesthetically horrible! I am aware of other threads here on Moparts and over on FABO on the different LA intakes but the one I inquired about is not mentioned, which is why I asked.

Yes, they totally butchered the second iteration/AB suffix versions with the offset/stamped water neck. One of the stupidest things they ever did.

I had the opportunity to ask an engineer on staff during that time why they made that decision. He agreed it was an incredibly dumb idea.
He related why, and the reason why may have been ever stupider than the decision itself, if that's possible.
Maybe we can get into that later, it's all ancient history.

One final question.. Is the tooling the for the aluminum version of the 68-70 iron manifold destroyed forever? (If you know)

I left MP in 2013 and don't really know what happened when they dumped the M1 intake line.

The interlocking "BB" logo on the intakes told the story as to where they were cast.

It wouldn't surprise me if the tooling was stored there, probably free of charge.

Someone smart and enterprising, with the considerable resources to do it could probably
do the same with the buddy bar cast intakes as what Callies did with the Dalton Foundry blocks. If the tooling exists, parts could potentially be
made again under a license agreement.

Of course, there would be no development and everything would be forever locked into 2001 or whatever year it was they last revised everything
but I think folks would still buy the parts if they were available and not overpriced.
