Some Engine Parts Weights....

Pulling stuff off the RB 440 engine and getting ready to throw a few things on, I work in a pretty "calibrated" industry so I thought I'd get some weights from our certified scales that go to the .05 lbs, you know, for science:

Assembled Heads:
Stock 906/ea - 50.20
440 Source Stealths/ea - 29.0

Intake Manifold:
Factory Iron 4bbl - 42.85
Eddy Air Gap 4bbl -16.5

Rockers:(each rail/complete w/bolts)
Factory Stamped - 4.75
Comp Magnum - 6.35

Power Steering Gearbox
Factory 16:1 - 35.9
Borgeson 14:1 - 23.8

Total loss on the chassis (on/over the nose) 77.65 LBS!

Cool beans. How about water pump, housing, and exhaust manifolds next? Perhaps aluminum radiator, too? Crazy how heavy some of this stuff is. I did my brakes, and the drum assembly was 53lbs, and a wheel and tire was 60lbs each.

I can get a few of the assemblies as I put them back on. Probably won't break them down to individual components.

Nice, need to add weight to my stocker to measure for driveshaft, missing head/intake, will get some sandbags from home depot, need them for pool anyways
