a body door handle clip? - 03/23/22 03:31 AM

I posted this in another section of the forum but got no hits, i know you guys are very active here, little help please.

1968 Barracuda-

I cannot open my passenger side door. I can depress the button but nothing moves. There is a rod that is in there and moves down. It is connected to the latch itself, but not to the button on the handle. What is this missing clip called and where can I get one? I see several styles and such online. Id apprecite a little help.

I think '68 used a folded metal stamped clip - been a LONG time since I was in a '68 Barracuda door.
But that's what my '68 Road Runners have had.
Those rods are kinda beefy, have a hole that goes over a rounded peg or stud and the clip goes over the top of the rod.
Later As like my Dusters used smaller-diameter rods & plastic clips.
You might try Dante's, Classic Industries, etc.
