Mopar Madness at 42

Mopar Madness at 42 - 01/18/22 03:02 PM

Saw this racing event pop up within the past few weeks, Mopar Madness at Dragway 42, July 22-24.

Anyone know who's putting this event on, etc.?

May have to go and check it out, especially since we've lost a few Mopar events the past few years.

The annual event at Norwalk will return next year. It will be on by the track itself

I heard rumors that Josh was talking to D42 about having the Monster Mopar event there since Bader didn't want to renew it for some reason. shruggy It's OK with me since 42 is closer to my house .

Yes, the Bader’s didn't want to renew it with Josh, but they very much love the event, and plan to continue it next year at Norwalk. Should be great time.

Looks to me like OST dyno is putting on the Mopar event at 42. I'm not positive but it looks that way. Still not sure on what classes as they are still looking for sponsors. Maybe if 42 would not have dropped the Mopar event they had in favor of a Ford event they would have already been established. I hope it all work out ok!!!

Yeah, I saw the OST Dyno e-mail in the flyer, which was a clue. I thought the old event they got rid of at 42 was pretty good. Hopefully, they can get something lined out and have an annual Mopar event. The Mopar event, before they got rid of it, was the first time I'd been to 42, nice track, would like to go back.

I'm happy to hear that the Mopar event will be continued at Summit next year too.

Would be nice if they put it back in September whistling

Was an awesome Norwalk event in September, totally agree. Hopefully there will be some more to support and possibly make a change.
As for 42, just remember he has no loyalty to racers bumped the Mopar race in a quick second with very little notice if memory serves me correct.
Not a good person to deal with, professionalism is out the door w/this guy
Norwalk September please for 2023

Hope not. The Holley Moparty event is in September, have enjoyed that since it started two years ago.
The weather in Sept at Norwalk was problematic many years. Lots of rain and storms. Late July has been way less rain. 100% a fact. I don't like taking off work to sit in rain.
I suspect the Baders will keep it in late July, right where it has been in recent years

I'm excited - 42 is one of my favorite tracks.

If you want to have a good time add their Rock and Race to your calendar - its one of the most entertaining races of the year.

Just remember the gamblers race on Friday is winner take all.
