Edelbrock RPM versus Stage 6 Exhaust Port Height - 10/26/21 10:43 PM

Looking to replace Stage 6 heads with RPM Edelbrock.
Any experience on if the headers will fit the same?
Hooker 2" B body

. I run RPM’s. I tried those Hookers a while back. Real b—h changing the plugs. Other than that issue, they fit the same. Went back to my 2” CPPA’s. Sold the Hookers.

I’ve been running the 5209 hooker 2” supercomps for 30 yrs now on my 68 b body with rpm heads. Fit good since the beginning. I don’t find plugs a problem. Not the easiest, but certainly not the most difficult. But, i did notice the newer set my buddy got for his e body were slightly diff. For one, the collector flange was clocked differently and the triangular point where a bolt goes was pointing down reducing clearance slightly. On his car, it mattered…his was lowered with hotchkiss setup so it scraped the ground here and there. On mine….no problem with the old ones from 1990.

Ok...thanks.
Nervous about changing the heads....nothing seems to ever fit with changing more than bargained for.
Had to modify the 5209 to fit...move 1 tube...ain't doing that again...

FWIW I ran Hooker 5209 headers w/ Edelbrock Performer RPM heads on a 440 and didn't have a problem w/ plugs.

Nice picture to describe things in that link.

From my notes on Stage VI and factory iron:
These numbers may not be perfect, but they should be pretty good. The way I see it, the Stage VI when installed on the block will vertically raise the headers 3/8" and move it horizontally out about 3/16" on each side (wider).
