Mike Crick - 07/19/21 09:05 PM

A very sad day for me and my son. I just found out that Mike Crick has passed away. He was a big time MOPAR racer that was one of the hardest opponents we ever faced. We met him at one of the first Million Dollar races when he gave me an adjustable rocker so we could keep racing. He attended many of the big dollar races and was a frequent winner. He was one of the nicest guys you could ever want to meet and he will be deeply missed.

I started to post about Mikes passing when I found out but didn't know if anyone else knew him. I talked to Mike probably early June, he had his daughters dragster and a 65 at Paducah. From talking to him I thought he was doing well. We talked about a lot of stuff and Mikes heart was in the right place. In retrospect from our conversation I suspect he knew what was coming, I was taken back when I found out that he had passed. Mike was a good man and a good racer too, my R1/Indy headed small block was purchased from him.

I new Mike a little That’s all it took It wasn’t just our common love for Road Runners and Mopars ( Yes he had a Yellow one and a Silver one for his Daughter) It wasn’t just Bracket Racing It was also the type of person Mike was You couldn’t ask for anyone nicer or better For me Mike was the type of person you could talk to literally for hours and it seemed like minutes To his Mom Dad Wife Daughter Son in-law and soon to be Grandson So sorry for your loss We lost a GREAT ONE May he always be in our hearts Until we meet again RIP Mike Crick

Didn’t he have a couple of Duster race cars? One was a pro-mod car that he was trying to sell? The other was a really nice green Duster that was built by JCR Chassis in Florida?

Sorry to hear of his passing.

I have known Mike and his wife (Sandy) for over 30 years. This is a loss that we will not get over soon. Prayers, please, for his family.
