Thought I share this Carb adapter - 06/15/21 10:28 PM

Don't think you can buy a max wedge intake with a 4150 flange . at lease I could not find one . nothing available. and I run NSS so I can only run a 4150 carb. I bought T/F 270 heads and a Indy intake . It has a 4500 flange . I have hood clearest problems So most of the adapter are 2" tall would not work for me..so I bought this adapter. Very nice part .

I know they made them. I just could not find one. And if I decide to bracket race. I can take the adapter off and put my dominator on and I think it will be faster ? maybe LOL

How did you find this spacer? Was it recommended by someone or you found it on eBay? Just curious as you're in Ohio and this was made in country Victoria, Australia.

Nice! How tall is it? Wilson makes a 1.5in adapter.

A lot of the newer 4150 carbs will bolt to a 4500 as they have elongated holes.

That is a cool adapter though!

Nice piece! ... Mr Gasket made an adapter plate using cheezy bent studs. It was only .500" thick. Part number 1930 but, is no longer made...

Nice piece, i should have filed a patent 6 years ago when I came up with the same idea and made my own to fit a 4150 on my M1 4500 intake. The pic shows the combo plate and a 4 hole spacer.

Made mine for the price of scrap aluminum 1/2" plate and my Dad's time on the mill. He has since retired and so did my freebies with the mill until I get my own unit.

You would have probably spent more getting the patent than it would have made for you, it's not a spacer design that is overly prevelant.

Regardless, a clever solution to a problem. Although changing over to a dual pattern base plate is another way of getting the same result. The 4150-4500 spacers I've made took advantage of that.

True on the ROI. It was more in jest than an actual hand to forehead moment.

I saw a problem and was determined to make it work without spending more coin on a newer carb base.

Real simple solution would be to run a Dommy and be done with it all together. 😀

The 540" B1 in my Savoy has an adapter to a 4150 for NSS type stuff. Runs 8.90/5.70 at 3450 that way.
