Jegs update! - 05/03/21 05:32 PM

Called them at 9 am ct today. They are swamped with calls and i was on hold from 9am till 10:15 am. Perseverance paid off though as i was able to get info on my Cometic 4.6 x .036 gasket order of march 4th. Should ship june 8th. I also ordered another pair in .027 thickness as my pistons will be at -.013 in an aluminum block cold.
Jegs system crashed a week ago but the tech said they are close to being back up. Shipping is a problem all over the country and there might be some minor delays ( one or two days?)
So life will eventually return to normal- i think!

I've been on hold for 40 minutes with Jegs. I'm trying to cancel an ATI powerglide case that they charged to my credit card and ATI says they may not even have them this year. THANKS Jegs.

Ok just a small update. I knew over the weekend that there was an issue will Jegs phone lines. Bill Lutz posted about it letting guys know Jegs was open but the lines weren't working. When I just got through I asked her about it And the phone lines are up but the are DAYS behind on call orders so things won't be back to normal for days. If you keep hitting redial you should get through bit plan on being on hold for In my case 45 minutes.

Jegs may have a few unique problems, but I just received this email from another (non-Mopar) vendor today. Also have a Charger forum member who works for a big resto parts supplier, and they too have been slammed with orders.

Thank you so much for continuing to choose XXXX. We especially appreciate your business during the past year's unprecedented challenges as we strive to deliver you the quality parts you are searching for at the best prices available.

The automotive industry has been experiencing significant growth since the beginning of the pandemic last year. All across the industry, delivery times have been pushed out weeks to months due to not only the increased demand but also the closure of many manufacturers for extended periods of time. This has presented everyone with new challenges including XXXX.

In recent months we have experienced significant production delays due to COVID-19 and the manufacturing closures, and it could take months before we can get back on schedule with timely shipments. Every department has been putting forth an enormous effort to keep orders shipping in the least amount of time as possible. We understand your frustration with delayed shipments but rest assured we are performing at maximum speed without sacrificing quality.

While the market continues to rebound we ask for your continued patience and understanding regarding fulfillment delays. Please know that this is completely beyond our control and we are doing the best we can do under the circumstances. Likewise, our call center is running at maximum capacity, and our support representatives are unable to pinpoint exact shipment dates. Rest assured, we treat every order with the highest priority and do everything we can to keep you, our valued customers, up to date.

Thank you for your continued patience.

As long as the supplier tells you if they have it in stock I am OK. But taking an order for a part they don't have without telling you is not good.

Not much different than speed equipment manufactures advertising items not yet in production, using it to gauge buyer interest.

Re: Jegs update! - 05/06/21 01:55 AM

I ordered a hitch from jegs and it said shipping within a few days. About ten days go by and I get email saying it won’t be until late June, after my trip. So I tried to cancel and couldn’t get through and they didnt respond to the email. I found the hitch elsewhere and was told it was in stock. That place then cancelled my order.

So I kept looking and what do you know, the jegs order mysteriously shows up at my door. Well that’s good, except an adapter didn’t come. Found that and it was on way. Jegs still wouldn’t respond to my cancellation request and I didn’t have time to be on phone that long to double check. Of course it then shipped and now I have to find a way to return one of these $200 adapters.

Called them out time and time again when they were showing “R3 blocks in stock”.... and I could clearly see at work there was no such thing
