Anyone win a race yet??

I came dangerously close last weekend at Famoso. 103 car field and made it to the final where I threw it away with an incredibly bad red light. Just missed the Moparts prize package for the first win.... I’m not sure what that is but I bet it’s huge!

Cars running great and we’ll return there memorial weekend for the postponed “March Meet” race. Also lowered my new best to a 9.105

Not me, lol. I broke out in the first round a few weeks ago at Rockingham. I ran a 9.69 on a 9.75 dial against a car that dialed 14.80, lol.

DId you help him put his doors back on after that?

I also died my normal death in a bracket race two weekends ago, like you I was WAY red. Red light is my normal way of escaping the finals, and in this case and several others I ran dead on my dial in.

I’d be happy just to attend a race at this point...

Its still snowing here..well last week anyways, this week, too much rain. Going 4 wheeling instead I think...

First races of the season tomorrow and Sunday. Great Lakes Stock/Super Stock at Mid Michigan Motorplex. I'm going to give it my best shot.

I’ll give a play by play report May 21st.

My first outing for the season is tomorrow also (5/1). Last season I had 1 win (Bristol, final rd margin .0003 on 1/4 mile) and four RU's, including the Mopar race at London, Ky. I red lighted 3 of the 4 RU's. We'll see how it goes this year. On a good note, I haven't lost a round this year. Yet. Fingers crossed!!

Rd #1 on Saturday pulled the threads off the cable stud on the carb. No throttle in the burnout box. Tough way to lose. All repaired ready for Sunday. It has made 9 passes in a row with 60fts with-in . 006. It will be a better racecar.

Hey a RU is still better than 101 other guys did.... Wading through a 100 car field is no easy task.

My first outing had me .004 red in the second round...

.... my first outing was in Phoenix back in March. I made 6 passes all weekend. 2 test hits each day, out first round both days. Got served a .007 package day 1 and red lit day two. Can’t remember the last time I took a beat down like that!

Dont feel bad last year I lost in the 1/4's of a $10K race to a car that ran 12's at 111, I was going 186! Fastest car I ran all day was Jay! And I believe he was dialed 11.05 or so. I ran one car that went 13.00 at 99! Just stupid and not really safe but due to time they combined top and bottom bulb cars into one race.

After breaking the throttle stud Saturday we went on to Sunday. Qualified #1 with .006 R/T. So far so good. Won the first 4 rds on my way to rd 5 semis, 3 cars left. Unfortunately the car broke the trans during the rd4 win. No forward gears, reverse only. My bet is it broke the input clutch hub. Anyway had fun. I'll get it apart this week and ready for the next race in 2 weeks.
