727 PUMP GEARS

I bought a HD set of gears some time ago, not sure who from, rebuilding trans now. I know there is a front and back side on gear for inside beve, there is a DOT on it, what side goes down towards convertor? bevel is different on both sides

Easy way to remember - big bevel forward to ease in converter installation.

Forget the dot.

That is how the gear was setup in my pump from John Cope. The step made it a bear to get the converter installed.
I actually pulled the gear out, and put a slight chamfer on that step that faces the converter to make installing the converter easier.
