That sir is a man's man. So glad he had the clearness of mind to pull the chute- I thought big trouble for sure when it started going sideways in the air.

Great job on him getting that chute out. Outcome couldn't have been much better. He went 3.60's last year. Always seems to be cars flying at SGMP

I think he pulled it. Most of these guys have enough laps under their belt that they know when things start going bad the chute is the only thing that can save the car.

Him landing sideways going that fast and not immediately starting to barrel roll would seem to defy physics even more than an airplane on a treadmill.

Best possible result for the situation.

I guess not too bad because an hour ago they said they were going to run in two classes to get as much test hits as possible. Said they will make one easy pass to make sure it goes straight.

Just watched him make another pass to a 4.00/161 pulling the chute real early. Car went down like it was on rails. He said they only had to replace 1 bar somewhere in the car. Car has a for sale sign on it. Will be interesting to see where Tim ends up this weekend.
