Sweet 16 - No Mercy

Sweet 16 - No Mercy - 10/17/20 06:27 PM

Anyone else paying attention this past week?

RvW going low 3.50s with 60's in the high .800s - in suspended door cars. eek Nothing quicker than that unless they are using nitro for fuel. Pro 275 only a couple tenths behind.

Blown alcohol, screws, roots, N2O, turbos, big blocks, small blocks, diesels. And the rules package has them all close.

The rest of it is off the hook as well.

I'm enjoying the show. Carry on.

I've been to a couple of the Duck X races at SGMP, and they fly! (Sometimes literally) If you can, go. It's a great show, and Ozzy's a great guy. Next on the list is the 1/2 mile show.

Flo Racing - formerly Speedvideo. Subscription service.

Everything worth watching is a subscription now except for Drag Racer TV on YT. But on Flo, you get Duck X, PDRA, NMCA/NMRA, No Prep stuff, etc. Really good production quality, Not just some cameras set up. Plus a bunch of sprint car, modifieds and late model stuff from all over the country. On demand to watch it later. News, Always something to watch. Pay by the month or the year. I don't have TV so it works out for me.

It was a show. Sweet 16 and No Mercy all stuffed into 2 weeks.

Needed to be better than 4.37 to be top half in X with 32 cars. And they were into the teens yesterday.

Announcers were the best. Usually Lee Sebring and Brain Lohnes but Lohnes is in Texas. Not sure who the big guy was with Sebring but he was entertaining as well. Pit reports doing interviews with a little more pizazz as well. My favorite line - after one of the many times a nitrous car crop dusted the bottom end - they installed a piston delete kit.
