Planning to be there for sure!, My other "home" track, behind Bristol! On a side note, the track owner, Craig Boone, is a Mopar racer.

Sure you would have... And you'll make Thunder Valley next Labor Day?

Is London a 1/4 mile track? I see it says running 1/8th mile.

After the flier was 1st done the shut down area has been extended. The track has been 1/4 mile for some time, but because of the shorter shut down, they only run cars about 12.00 and slower on it. With the longer shut down, running fast cars is not a problem anymore. They also regularly run outlaw 4.70 & outlaw pro Mods, some of them easily run 200+mph in the 1/8th. I think that SS & Hemi, slant six and sportsman will run 1/4 mile at this event.

Be another new track for me to ad to my list. Hitting another one tonight to make sure I am at least close with the tune up. Went to Kil Kare a couple weeks ago and in a rush made some mistakes. Looked like a buffoon so hoping not to repeat that performance tonight smile Hope to meet some new folks in London. We will not be there til Friday as my son is flying in on Thursday night

This is the updated flyer for the Mopar Dragfest, after several sponsors (including Chris & Charlie Wheatcraft of Indy Cylinder Head), stepped up with more $$'s to add to the purse. I think this event will be well supported.

Well you can now officially count me out. Have taken the car out twice since I got here and it has just not been "right". Took it out again Friday night and we lost a few inches of vacuum. Spent this morning figuring out a Racepak problem I have had since I got here too. Good news is that's fixed. Bad news, fired it up to confirm the Racepak will do what it is supposed to and now seem to have developed a nasty noise coming from inside like something wants out. Imagine a pin or maybe a rod bearing but oil looks same as usual so thinking maybe a pin issue. Needless to say I will be pulling it out and spending the winter fixing the engine issue.

Hope everyone has a good time, just changed the kids flight and cancelled the hotel. Sucks but better to find it in the garage than on the track..

Well got my problem figured out. Not really a bad deal lost a lifter, wheel locked up but unfortunately it took the cam with it. Scared the lobe up pretty good. Was a regrind and looks like maybe that got into the heat treat a bit, who knows. Got all winter to fix it now.
