K&R Z Force push to release

K&R Z Force push to release - 07/21/20 04:34 PM

I’ve been releasing to start since 1985. I’ve always had extreme tension while on the button. I use a practice tree, and depending on the mental state I’m in, I can stay under control. BUT. Mister tension will appear with a .030. I’ve been researching the push to release products. Anyone use it? How do you like it? Thanks in advance.

I installed the Digital Delay version and like it so far.

I don't top bulb race alot so this seems to work better for me.

I tried it, was not a fan. Not a fan of the box or the Z-Force option, but could be just be I have used Digital/Biondo stuff for ever. Just seems more user friendly to me. Even took the Z-Force box out of the dragster. But to each his own, like the ole transtrigger that was so popular for a bit.

That’s their Push To Go option, correct? Mega 475? Do you release or push to start mostly? Thanks.

Yep it is, just their "cathc phrase". I prefer release to start personally. Been doing that way for so long it just felt "abnormal" to push to me. I was not consistent either, I do hear you on the "antsy" part of holding a button. I suffer the same affliction but I think for me pushing the button kinda tells my brain ok lets get ready to do this.

Hi, Al. So was it that you’re comfortable with holding and releasing, or just didn’t like K&R? I’ve used Deadenbear since 1985. I guess setting the car, then tapping another time to release intrigues me. 😉

My newest "toy" for me in my old age has been the bump down feature. While I have yet to use it in the car I have been using it on the practice tree since we stopped racing in March and I think its getting hooked up. To make up for the antsy brain fade moments that occasionally get me. I think in my case its more not been in any car much the last few years so not 100% comfortable with anything I'm doing. I was starting to feel it again in Feb/Mar but then the Rona came. My last race I lost in the final from one of those brain fade .33 lights

I know, it’s a mind game. It’s almost like I’m afraid of being late..... and then I am! I should use bump down as well. I can feel the feathers sprouting on my legs already!

A absolute focal point was huge for me. A literal pin point. Kept me from herky jerky, googley eye syndrome. Mostly. 😁

I have a k&r z force. Its a GREAT box but the push to release feature wasnt for me. I tried it but went back to releasing the button.
