Aluminum oil pan - 05/25/20 01:53 PM

Who makes an aluminum oil pan for a B-body with stock suspension. Looking for a replacement for my Charlie’s pan with swinging pick up. It sucks he is no longer making pans.

You might try these folks, I have some valve covers from them and I have been pleased with them.

I use Billet Fabrication.....They are not cheap, but they work really well. Otherwise, I would just use a Milodon.

Aluminum welds easy, if you don't mind what the welded up pan looks like work whistling

You mean like this one??

And, the only place the pan leaked was a cracked weld in the steering tunnel that we missed.

No, it was tig welded. A racer/fabricater buddy lives about 3 miles from me fixed it. We tried to find a new or good used 8 qt pan, but could only find a 7 qt one, so we fixed this one. I wish I had taken a "before" picture of it.

If it's a center sump pan I think Steff's makes one.

Dan, I built a new car since we last met in St. Louis, 2004? Same 499 and Jerico trans. Was planning on Monster Mopar Weekend in Norwalk, but will have to wait until next year. Maybe you can bring your Road Runner. Good luck with the new bullet.
