Msd grid wiring burnout/launch? - 05/14/20 08:45 PM

Hey all, just curious if most of you are wiring your burnout (light blue) wire to your line lock, and does the launch wire(dark blue) are you wiring that with your trans brake? Or maybe your not even using these two wires, just trying to get an idea what to do. Thanks

If you want to control your RPM through the Grid, then yes. The burnout RPM wire is pretty straightforward. The launch RPM wire is going to depend on delay box, no delay box, etc.

I wish that was true for all Bracket II//Pro classes at all tracks.

Yes. I wire the light blue wire to my line lok and dark blue to my transbrake.
This way, you can go into your computer and set all your parameters. If you have air shifter, you can also program rpm shift points for all your forward gears.
Use the yellow wire.

Really bigdad? That sux, not really sure I'll bracket anyway, just a test and tune guy probably. Would like to try some 6.50 index if I get that far.

Everyone thanks for the help!

Sammy thank you on that, I run my line lock and everything on relays, I guess I could tie it into them.

You dont need relays on the line lok or transbrake.
Get them wired directly to your MSD and 12 volt.
Been like this for 20 years now. No problems ever.
