arp studs - 04/06/20 10:22 PM
i have enuff studs to use on my crank that are markes ARP left over from anothe project i also have some marked ARP 2000,i know what the 2000 is but the other studs that look identical im not shure are they the 8740?
Main studs or conn rod bolts? All the sets i’ve ever worked with had no marKings on the studs besides ARP. On the rod bolts, that’s a diff story. I’ve had them marked 2000 for that series. 8740 for those. I’ve had arp eagle 8740 on eagle rods etc.. main studs, i’ve never seen them marked with the grading.

main studs,if they are marked just ARP dose that mean they are 8740 ,if it does they call for 120 lbs torque on the nuts

That is for using ARP moly lube torque specs.
