Its just an extra tall deck for more stroke. We need a 4.900" or 5" bore space block and parts to build LARGE engines. Just adding stroke is not the way to go.

I would think this block is for the person that is looking to buy a KB tall block now and is looking for a little more CI. It looks like it is built on what exists now. A 5 inch spread bore block, how many are going to be sold compared to what is offered as a hemi block on the market now. How long did it take for KB to even have blocks again and how many now are manufacturing a cast iron block for a Gen 2 hemi? If people go to an Alan Johnson block then it would be starting new with a complete parts list to buy. So if you were in the market now for an aluminum block and had all the parts from a past build to go on this block then one of the 10 blocks being cast might work for you.

I am assuming that is with the 4.5 bore and a 4.80 bore space.....I have the 605 standard deck (4.5x4.75 stroke), and the pistons are pretty darn near as short as they can go in it...What rod length are they using in that combo?

As mentioned, I would also love to see a 4.90 bore space like the Noonan or AJ blocks where you no longer have the weird inside stubby bolts thru the deck into the valley......I have heard Noonan has/had a billet water block, but its not listed on their site. Would love an almost 670-700 cube NA Hemi in a water block...That would be bad ass..

Cubic inches rule!

Std cam height is 45 degrees, raised cam is 48. The raised cam is what helps pushrod angle.
