Rare OEM Small Block Front Sump Pan

Rare OEM Small Block Front Sump Pan - 01/27/20 01:07 PM

I'm looking for the OEM front sump oil pan in the attached picture. This one apparently came from a late 60's D100 2WD (small block) pickup but looking at that era, this pan still seems to be a rarely seen style. Have any of you seen a pan like this on other Dodge-Plymouth models?

What are you needing it to fit?

The dimensions for the pan in the picture are;

Length of Sump = 6 & 1/2" (from the front of the pan to the back of the sump)
Depth of sump = 9 & 1/4"
Pan height above rail behind the sump = 5-1/2"

Non-stock application. Only this pan or something close in an aftermarket pan will work. This is the only "true" front sump OEM pan I've seen. Most that are categorized as front sump are actually more like a mid-sump.

I believe they were on 68 to 71 W series 318 pickups. I think I have a couple at farm. I’ll look next time I’m out there. Jim

Thanks much Jim. That information is (by-far) the most specific I've heard. The pan I have is riddled with rust pits so if either of your pans are good, I'm interested if you're wanting to sell. Let me know when you might be able to confirm.

Yes as I mentioned in my post it is a 60's era (late 60's) small block pan but not at all a common model given where the sump is located completely at the front. It (almost) looks like a rear sump turned around at first but in reality there are a lot of differences. Further dialog with other members seems to show this as pan used on late 60's "W" series Sweptline pickups.
