Old Barry Grant parts

Old Barry Grant parts - 01/19/20 09:57 PM

I have some parts, not carbs, that are pretty new looking but I have no paperwork and the parts have no
P/N's stamped on them.
I have a bypass regulator, 2 HR 220 fuel pumps, 2 canister filters that seem to go with fuel pumps as inlet
filters, 1 really big canister filter.
I'd like to know the micron ratings of the filters and whether replacement filter elements can be had.
Also I'd sure like to know the pressure rating range on the regulator, without having to rig up a circuit
and test it.
I can take pictures if that would help.
Anyone have any old BG literature ?

If those BG filters(BG#400 and BG#500 ) have paper elements in them they are rated at 10 micron, not to be used between the pumps and fuel tanks tsk
I did that and found out the hard way those filters only belong between the pump and carb or between the regulator and carb. up
EDIT: BTW, I was told by one of the BG employees that their 400 and 500 fuel filter element was the same as the early ford had in their mechanical pumps back in the 1960 scope

Allstate Carb has some BG items. Their standard filter is rated at 10 micron the alcohol compatible stainless steel is rated @ 75 micron. I am running the BG 5000 filter before my Mallory 250 pump and have not seen and problems. The 220 HR pump came with a regulator . I am using that regulator . I started with the 220 HR and had some problems with it locking up, and switched to the Mallory.
