Ok. I have never heard of these before, but I'm not especially small block savvy. Whats the story and where do these fit within the small block universe? S/F....Ken M

mentioned number P5153850 is the large port super commando head.....afaik needs a lot of work to flow decently, not the best choice for a high performance head. If i remember correctly these share one port with the W-series head.

The W is kind of misleading... the part number refers to the Mopar Performance Super Commando heads.
They have nothing to do with the (iron only) Mopar W2 heads.
Google up Super Commando... they can be made to flow with some serious porting. Shady Dell used to have
flow numbers on their website.

From the e mail I got from Mancini a few weeks ago they had Edelbrock to make a run of heads without the Edelbrock logo on them. The link in the e mail is the same as posted above.

I had one of the very first 3850 display heads from SEMA 2007 or something, sold it to a fellow awhile back.

It was just an exercise in moving the pushrods around to get them out of the intake ports, just addressing
normal small block performance issues.

It was meant to do battle with the head referred to as Indybrock. It's an Edelbrock head with pushrod pinch completely removed,
straight line of sight intake port.

There was also prototype "in between" head which was the same Edelbrock casting + relocated the intake pushrod slightly, but not quite as far as the
3850, and it had some of the pinch is still intact. I still have that one holding down a shelf and would like to get rid of it.
