Only made 5 passes before this week...
But I got some better runs at Piedmont yesterday (Sat). Close to my original hopes.
1.415 sixty foot
6.415 at 108.4 mph
next run
1.425 sixty
6.417 at 108.5 mph
Both using trans brake and 3500 chip. Previous was footbrake around 1500-1800 rpm.
Not use to staging this car, so it might be in shallower one time than the other.
9.5" converter is tight (as requested), but is likely slowing car down (around 4500)
Last month at VMP Mopar event
1.497 sixty (foot brake)
6.56 1/8 mile at 110.
10.26 1/4 mile at 132
2838 lbs with 230 lb driver (yea, heavy Daytona)
496 CID, 569 HP at 5800 rpm, 571 TQ at 4900
10.3 CR, factory iron heads
1.76 gear PG trans, 4.56 rear with 33" slicks
