It’s basically his long block ... I used a MW Victor intake w 1.7 rockers ... I have a 1150 Dominator in my heavy POS ...it’s got a 904 with a 8 “ ATI and a 3.90 gear ... I’m just using 904 till I can buy something over the off season... if I can 60’ it will be a helluva ride

Actually, credit where credit is due.......the CNC porting on those was done by Jeff at MCH.

I just freshened the valve job after they’d been run for a bunch of testing.

Yeah those heads have some frequent flyer miles on them. I ran then initially out of the box and they didn't make any power. Sent them to Jeff at MCH for his CNC porting and they picked up a bunch. Had to send them to Dwayne though since MCH missed some things such as the pushrod tubes. They also got sent to Fastlane in Utah for some work at one point. Not to mention all the CNC machine work I did on the rocker stands to fit the Jesel setup. Nobody makes a Jesel setup for EZ heads so it required some custom machine work.

Glad to see you have the car out making laps. I know it took a bunch of work to get that together and into the car. You probably have another 1/2 second you can pick up from chassis, converter and tuning so you'll have fun next year getting it all sorted out. I helped out some local guys with a Belvedere this year with a similar engine. First pass off the trailer was an 11.70 and after a few sessions (and a bunch of work) they are now in the high nines. Always a lot of details to sort out on new combos.

Were you running full exhaust at the track? I think you said you have 3.5 inch exhaust with mufflers?

I have exhaust with mufflers, that dumps out at axle. I had a issue with the tires and need to glue them to the rim .. we marked the tire and rim and it moved about half the way around the rim. so I will see how the 60' will improve once I can get that together

The cam that is in that engine might not be "perfect" for mufflers so that is one thing you could check by running without the exhaust system once you get the car hooking hard. If you still have the extra set of 1.85 rocker arms that is another variable you can play with once the car is hooking.

Thank you I am good,I need a new vert to finish up going n/a and just needed 1 more pass to jet an 850 before I put on the 1050 yesterday to get ready for next year.There was a ton of cars there,Must have been close to 400.

i'm aSSuming your 514 is a big block. what adapter do you use to your 904 ?

JW ultrabell ...I know that this trans is on limited time so... over winter I will be looking at other options the 904 worked great for 18 seasons, 2 rebuilds I recommend it in a lighter car, with the low band apply it was less of worry to me.

We camped out at Dragway 42 and it was a blast two 9 second passes a 9.95 and a 9.98 I glued the slicks with weather stripping adhesive and they prepared the track big time. I had to use my phone to send pics I have a couple vids as well it was a blast and I think we have a chance to find some more suspension tuning and seat time to go faster yet... Thanks Again Andy F

That engine will pick up 20 or 30 hp if you have the intake ported. It is expensive, but it might be one of the easier ways to pick up a little more power.
