hemi intake heat shield - 07/14/19 07:58 PM

I'm getting ready to install the heat shield on my manifold and wanted to know if you loctite the bolts or use anti seize on them? This is a stage V manifold and using factory shield and bolts with captive washers.

Thanks Mike

I always use lock-tite.

On any motor that has the possibility to have any bolts come out while the motor is running you should take every effort possible to make they don't come out until you want them out twocents work

Thanks for the confirmation. Red loctite is what I used in the past I just thought I'd ask to verify.

Red loctite is only removable once cured by heating up parts to 500°F, It's only the valley tray not a high heat or vibration bolt, I think Loctite Threadlocker Blue 242 is more suited for the task.
