MATS . Small Tire Mopar race - 11/27/18 11:38 PM

Had a conversation with Phil today he showed interest in having a small Tire Mopar shoot out.. he's pretty much wide open.. he said it would take 12 cars.. it would be 1/8 Mile 10.5 or smaller tire door car. I'm looking for feed back to pass on to phill.thanks guys

Do they have small tire racers out there. JJ Da Boss had to go the whole way to New Mexico to find racers.

If you guys allow a 10.5x33x15W in the game I might be tempted to buy a set and play realcrazy
What are the other rules ? My car may or may not make the rules work

Re: MATS . Small Tire Mopar race - 11/28/18 05:08 AM

Well now some say that a "W" is NOT a small tire...............

Top picture, my Brother's Gremlin on a 10.5W X 33
Next Picture, my brother's Gremlin on a true 10.5 X 28.

No comparison, those 33's are huge!!
I might be able to talk him into coming out, but my little small block street car would be outclassed...

cab as I mentioned before the rules will be wide open.. I think we should stick to a 29 10.5 or smaller. And all power adders welcome..

never consider yourself outgunned the goal is to have fun and get as many participants as possible.. drawing numbers before each elimination changes the whole game fast cars can eliminate each other early on.. I was at a race last year when the slowest car in the field went all the way to the final..

29.5x10.5 Non-W?

Planetary transmission allowed?

Dates? Sorry if I missed them.

The way things are going I might have a car ready. Who'd have thought it possible?

Towing you race rig/trailer through all of that road salt would be brutal. A bunch of you guys should *fly* out and spectate.

It's about $300 round trip from our little airport.

.. not a hundred percent for sure yet on the payout .. basically depends on car count I think.. I'm impressed that you would actually entertain the thought of traveling that far up

5.95 best for the Valiant, the Gremlin has been 5.34...not bad for street cars, but I'm sure there are plenty that are quicker.

Ya between the dominator and that top secret 904 he’s been working on he may end up giving you “the hit”.

Re: MATS . Small Tire Mopar race - 12/18/18 07:19 AM

I’m just filler and I know it. But that won’t stop me from having some fun!
Top secret 904... that’s funny! Pretty much a stock unit with transbrake mods. Which shaft will I replace first!
Tiny carb gave me some fits. Most likely an air bleed issue, but that’s above my pay grade. Couldn’t get it to run rich below 800ft DA. That proved to be an issue in Bakersfield.
I’ve got a lot of good parts..... just set on marshmallow, not kill!

If I could get my new f2, w8 deal to run more than 10ft at a time, before it lifts the head and trenches everything and run half way right......nightmare, combination of about 5things and its unhappy as can be. Trenched stuff 2xs now in 11 half 1/8mile passes. I would be all about this deal. Sounds fun, can't get junk to work yet and is a long haul, so I guess I'm out.

Funny (pun intended) you mention that, as I was adding a plate before this was announced, but the car only has a 6-point bar, and the car is a tank at 3800+ with me in it,

I hope that class has some good sponsorship or it will soon fold with car counts like that. What were the entry fees and payouts for that race. I know Josh is taking a hit at monster Mopar with low car counts.
