2006 300 SRT8 - 11/18/18 05:24 AM

Anybody run their's at the track? looking for some mods to get in the low 12's high 11's. considering a car with arrington 84 mm throttle body and cai , diablo tuner and borla exhaust. on the test drive the seat of the pants meter felt like it registered a 12.5. Also looking at a bone stock car I thought I would mod but looking for a recipe? Can anybody point me in the right direction. I joined the 300c forums and I hear crickets

popcorn ... there's a sweet 06 or 07 down here that has my interest. Good value SRT car ? What should it run dead stock - maybe with a sticky tire - mid 12s ?

Bone stock they're a 12.8ish car if everything is right. High 11's Low 12's shouldn't be hard with bolt-ons (headers, TB, etc). Get a custom tune, they really respond to those. The 5 spd NAG1 cars also really like high stall converters

Lxforums.com is a pretty good forum with a decent amount of info. I have a 2016 Charger Scat Pack and have found that forum to be useful for me and they also have a lot of members that have the first gen LX cars. I have a custom email tune from Hemifever tuning via a Diablo inTune and I highly recommend going that route as he tunes all gen 3 hemis. On my car, the tune is what made the most noticeable difference.

been on all kinds of forums but i get better info here. Taking a poll option 1 116K miles arrington throttle body 84 mm, cai carbon fiber intake and diablo tuner exterior and interior in excellent shape. Option 2 82k miles bone stock daily driver a few bumps and bruises. Thoughts?

option 2

option 2 and don't spend the money for headers a good tune and a cam change are better places to spend money. The gen 3 cars I have worked on and dyno tested never really responded well to headers. Never lost anything but never really gained a lot not like a good tune and a cam change plus headers for these things are not cheap at all.

Make sure you look it over well too... these cars rust on the inner front rails on the inside by the exhaust. I had to weld in sections on both sides of my magnum rt. Wasn't a bad job to do as I was rebuilding the engine and it was out of the way.
