I use motoseal, it's designed for metal to metal cases on motorcycles. Basically a real thin rtv

Best situation would be, if girdle fits between pan and block. Throw the girdle away and use a pan gasket. Then you're done. A girdle that goes between pan and block does absolutely no good.

this is what i use, follow the directions and allow a "skin" to build before torquing the main stud nuts.
