1967 BELVEDERE WEIGHT - 08/06/18 05:03 PM

Other than a tin floor and exotics, who has a BB '67 Belvedere and knows the rolling weight. I'm looking at a more strip then street project and for me, the rolling weight is of major concern. BB/auto/Dana. THX

I think that I'd have to keep the door glass. I never ha d great success with lexan door glass that rolled up and down w/o get scratches quickly. I've also given up on lexan windshield too because of the bullseyes. Bumpers, hood and fenders will be first dieting recipe.

There is a couple sources for glass parts

Guy on facebook makes the fenders, I think they are $400 each

he makes 66 bumpers

place in Florida makes hood and deck lid

I may also change out the steel stuff for glass also

Re: 1967 BELVEDERE WEIGHT - 08/07/18 04:33 PM

I know its not the exact same. Its close though.
My 66 Coronet weighs 3480 with me in it ( i weigh 260 ) before I add weight to move it to an index. It has a glass hood, bumpers and deck lid. The 1/4 glass in mine is lexan due to a mechanism breaking. So I pulled them out. All the rest is factory glass that rolls up and down. Mine at the time of scaling was a stock block 499 with aluminum heads. It is a NSS car. So it has 2 seats, carpet, headliner and a full factory dash. It has a cm 12 pt cage and ladder bars.
Surely you can get a same era belvedere to the same weight.
