Big race kicking off at Irwindale this weekend

They will be having big tire small Tire. N/A 10.5 shootout.. match racing
. As well as jet cars and pro mods VS ALtereds. And a sportsman bracket race. should be off the hook.. naturally I'm excited because they put my car on the flyer.. hopefully some of you guys can make it out..

We have a 10,000.00 race on Saturday and a 5000.00 race on Sunday. My 60 foots went to crap last week so babies getting new shoes tomorrow

Never had that happen before. Not even in my Daytona with 1.19 sixty foots but it was a way lighter car. I will pay more attention and know what to look for next time. Going to call Mickey Thompson tomorrow and pick their brain some.

I was in Fontana last weekend and I think there were three Mopars there. An Orange Dart in Sportsman and a black Satellite(friends dad)in Sportsman and Daytona in S/ST. Kinda sad really. But hey had a good time in Newport Beack Saturday evening, although I think we looked like the Clampetts in the restaurant.

Al,.... You've gotta come back up to Sac for Brackets. We are trying Our best to keep mopar represented. There are lot's of sb Dusters in Sportsman and 6/8 mopars in S/Pro. I thought Irwindale was 1/8 mile alongside an asphalt stadium. Is there enough room for Jets?

Lol...yea at the Ontario airport. Irwindale is just what you described. An 1/8 mile track on the same property as as asphalt circle track. But I love that place! I always try to schedule my so cal business trips around Thursday nights there.

Well I may have lost my co-pilot so not sure if I will make it out. BUt still have some time.

It was a great turn out, unfortunately there were some accidents, a turbo car rolled, hope he's okay. But I was good to see Shilo and a few other mopars along with his sister out there running. New track record on the newly paved track, guy ran a 4.62 1/8, think at 152mph. Didn't stay till the end friends drove so I left when they did lol.

Thanks guys... it was a great show.. the turnout was huge.. and we had a great time.. this was the biggest drag race ever held at Irwindale.. they had something for everyone.. and once again the there was a Mopar in the Winner's Circle. And as usual Rod aka justadart did well in the bracket race.. now it's time to pull the motor.. and freshen it up.. so we can keep the whitedart out front

Congrats on the win...be careful with that new driver. Mine keeps trying to horn his way into mine. I had to buy him his own car to keep him at bay as long as possible.
