If you want to dance you gotta pay the fiddler. Apparently the fiddler gets paid a lot.

I think that is a reasonable price - add the turbo's and management systems - $100K+ - but that would compare to one of those monster Musi NOS motors. Price goes way up when you cross that extreme threshold!

My little pump gas hemi doesn't seem like such a bad deal. smile

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I don't think that price includes the turbos/EFI. I think that adds another 30+.

I'm guessing those SO engines are in that neighborhood. But at up to 5200 hp you can play.
Just ordered 5, now what bank to rob?..

This is a normally aspirated motor .... I remember the days when blown fuel motors didn't make that much power !!!

Re: 76,000 yikes - 06/13/18 10:41 PM

You know if you just build a good built Hemi with after market parts you'll be into it for $25-30 grand and have 800 --1000 horse power. I see on their web site if you double that cost you can get 5000 horse power. Then the question is , what to do with 5000 horse power. Most can't get under 1000 to hook.

it's the basis for a power adder. it's not meant to be run N/A. when you're cramming 60+lbs of boost into it, it has to be able to handle it.

Larry Larson has a pro line motor in the worlds fastest street truck/car, look at him lay the boost to it here.

After watching the video a number of times , had to watch each gauge , I surprised me he had a G meter. That truck really pulls some G's Also surprised to see a launch of only 3800.

iagree Look at the bottom of the ad..."with appropriate power adder". A little over 2k hp is as much as you can get N/A.

Re: 76,000 yikes - 06/15/18 12:21 AM

Can't say we don't have "blocks" to make that kind of power. Right there in the pic.

The price is competitive for an assembled motor of that caliber. BAE stuff costs more in race ready trim.
