Small alternatorall

My small one wire alternator lost it charge can it be rexcited or do I need to replace it? It's a year old Thanks in advance

Usually the internal Bridge rectifier or voltage regulator goes out. You can buy both or replace the unit entirely.

it sat for a few months on the bench , that is why i question it
