I saw a 6 speed stocker with Joe Average driving at 41 a couple years ago. He ran 13 teens at 118. It finally quit spinning in 4th gear. It will be a win if your guy keeps it in his lane.

I ran a couple Hellcats with experienced drivers last year that ran 7.20’s in the 1/8th. 7.20 x 1.57 = 11.30’s in the 1/4. My guess with a newbie at the wheel is 13.0’s if they get it to hook in any of the first 2 gears.

If it is a six speed just tell him to drive it like he is launching on the street next to a cop, then lean on it lol.

friend of my has two of them, one of them he changed the driveshaft cause he heard it was a weak link, then he put on dot tires and ran 10.98 last year.

I have a 6-speed Hellcat Challenger. On stock tires traction is a joke. If he tries to feather the clutch he will smoke it. Love the car, but it's not an optimal drag car in stock form. If it had slicks, aftermarket driveshaft, and decent driver, it would be a different story.

I've beat both the automatic and manual trans versions, but they were running stock tires. I know that wouldn't be the case if they had slicks. Both Hellcats were charging hard at the end of the strip, but needed another 50 feet or so.

Here's the deal. I haven't seen the car yet but he would race my old bucket of bolts for 500.00. I can't drive my car but I will find somebody who can. wave

Rookie driver would be toast.

Here's a rookie Hellcat driver (didn't even know how to stage) that I took out with an 11.6 pass.

I've out ran a few stick and auto hellcat with a low 11.0 small block dart. It bothered one of my friends so much that he now has a demon to try and out run my junk.

on factory tires I highly doubt you'll have a prob.....even on a tire you shouldn't have a prob as long as your consistent 11.2s.I ran 11.30 on factory rubber with an auto.now i know of a 6spd with a lower pulley on a tire that runs 10.3s.......:)

Make sure he puts up his money before the race, otherwise you'll never see it when he drives straight home from the return road after being embarrassed.

Do these cars have traction control and if so how does the computer do getting the car down the track?

Turn the traction control off. Hold the button in till it chimes
If it's on. Tire spin just a tad and it will be same as You take your foot all the way off the gas. And it will be over then...
